4 things we do specifically.

IG bas

IG bas

All proposed recipes have an estimated low or moderate GI. No high-GI recipe will be suggested unless you actively search for it. The glycemic load of your weekly menu is calibrated to limit post-prandial spikes.

Macros

Macros

Protein + fiber + carbs in adapted proportions. The 3-part plate (half vegetables, quarter protein, quarter complex carb) is applied by default. Protein comes first in the meal sequence.

Portions

Portions

Calculated on your actual energy needs (weight, activity, goal). No overdosing, no generic adult portions. You can adjust manually if you want.

Substitutions

Substitutions

An ingredient does not work for you (allergy, taste, availability)? We offer 2-3 alternatives that maintain the T2 diabetes coherence of the recipe. The filter is never broken.

What we filter, what we track

Sources: HAS (Haute Autorité de Santé), Société Francophone du Diabète, ANSES.

Foods to limit

  • Added sugars · sodas, industrial juices, pastries
  • High-GI carbs · white bread, white rice, boiled potatoes
  • Fatty processed meats · saucisson, lardons, rillettes (sodium + fat)
  • Excess alcohol · 2 drinks max per day, never on empty stomach
  • Ultra-processed foods · NOVA 4 classification

Tracked parameters

  • Fasting glucose · daily log if you measure
  • Post-prandial glucose · 2h after meals, optional
  • HbA1c · quarterly entry, evolving follow-up
  • Waist circumference · marker of insulin resistance
  • Physical activity · 150 min / week WHO target

Morning fasted weigh-in

If you weigh yourself, do it in the morning upon waking, fasted (06:30-08:00). This is when your reference glucose is measured and your weight is most stable. No evening weigh-in — hydration variation and intestinal contents distort the reading.

Not a medical device

The app does not replace your doctor or endocrinologist. It complements. Diagnosis, drug treatment (Metformin, insulin if prescribed), and clinical follow-up remain their domain. You can export your nutrition and sport tracking as an encrypted PDF to bring to consultations.

Not a medical device

Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of any condition remain the responsibility of your doctor and specialist. SMU complements, never replaces.

Recipes and tracked parameters are indicative, based on public recommendations (HAS, ANSES, specialised learned societies).
